Custom-Finished Tube-Rivet Stake Set

Here at last is the set of tools I have promised many a student in many a riveting workshop over the years! Whether you have taken (or are going to take) my latest online workshop "Getting Attached: Rivets Revealed!" or you are simply looking for an excellent set of small tools to enable you to tube-rivet with the best of them, this is your lucky day.

This is a pair of 100+ year old hardened-steel piano tuning pins. I have carefully ground and polished the bullet shaped ends to a chrome gleam which will beautifully flare your tubing out when creating your rivets. The squared off opposite ends enable easy striking with a hammer, as well as providing a comfortable no-slip fit into a table vise.

Get yourself a set of the tools I always use in my own work for making tube-rivets – they'll last a lifetime and their shorter length makes them preferred over dapping tools.
